Depending on how you use Vedika, we may collect:

• Account and contact information — such as name, email address, and account credentials you provide when you register or sign in.
• Astrology birth details — such as date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, and related inputs you submit so the app can generate charts, compatibility, timing, or other astrology features.
• Preferences and app content you save — such as saved readings, favourites, or settings you choose to keep in the app.
• Device and usage information — such as device type, operating system, app version, approximate network information, crash logs, and diagnostic or analytics data needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.
• Support communications — information you send when you contact us for help, including deletion requests.

We collect personal information only as needed to provide Vedika’s features and related support. You may choose not to provide certain optional information, but some features may not work without it.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Provide, personalise, and improve Vedika’s astrology and related features;
• Create and manage your account;
• Respond to support requests and service notifications;
• Maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, and diagnose technical issues;
• Analyse aggregate usage to improve performance and product quality;
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we share information

We may share personal information with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (for example hosting, email delivery, analytics, or crash reporting), only as needed to operate Vedika. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction (such as a merger or asset transfer), subject to appropriate safeguards.

Where Vedika uses Vedic Matters backend services to generate astrology results, the birth and account details needed for that feature may be processed through those services solely to deliver the requested output.

4. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including transmitting data over encrypted connections (HTTPS) where available and limiting access to personnel and systems that need it to operate the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide Vedika, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you request account deletion, we delete associated app account data as described below, except where limited retention is required for law, security, or fraud prevention.

6. Account and data deletion

If Vedika allows you to create an account, you may request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data.

We aim to complete deletion within 30 days. Certain records may be retained where required by law (for example billing or fraud-prevention records) for up to 90 days, then removed. Temporary deactivation does not qualify as deletion.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact hello@pinetechits.com. You may also manage or delete your account through the deletion process described above.

8. Children’s privacy

Vedika is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact hello@pinetechits.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. International processing

We may process and store information in India and other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using Vedika, you understand that your information may be transferred to these locations. Where required, we take steps to protect information transferred across borders.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of Vedika after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
